Domain Whois verification

In accordance with the requirements of the ICANN, all domains under generic top-level domains (gTLDs) – such as .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .name and others – are subject to mandatory verification of their contact Whois data.

When is verification required?

Domain Whois verification is required:

when registering a new domain
when changing Whois contact data
when transferring a domain between registrars

What contact data is verified?

The following data of the registrant are verified:

First name
Last name
Email address

How does the process work?

After the domain is registered or the contact details are changed, a verification email is sent to the registrant’s email address (Registrant contact).

The email contains a link that must be clicked in order to confirm the correctness of the submitted data.

The verification is required only on the new email address that has been provided.
No action is required from the previous email address.
If the same email is used for multiple domains, verification is only performed once.

What does the verification email look like?

The subject of the message is: IMMEDIATE VERIFICATION required for domain.tld

The content is:

The email includes a link: Click here to verify your email address.
After clicking, you will see a confirmation page stating: Congratulations, you have successfully verified the Registrant email address for the following domains

Then the Whois data are considered successfully verified.

How long you have to verify?

The deadline for confirming the contact data is 15 calendar days from the receipt of the email.
If you do not confirm within that time, the domain will be temporarily suspended by the registrar via DNS record modification. Once you click the verification link, the domain will be automatically reactivated.

How do I get the email again?

If you did not receive the domain Whois verification email, you can contact us to have the message sent again.
