How to Create and Restore VPS Snapshots
A snapshot saves the current state of your VPS disk so you can roll back to it later. On JetHost, on-demand snapshots are free – making them the perfect safety net before any risky change.
Step-by-step: Create a snapshot
1. Open your VPS in the Client Area and go to the Snapshots tab.
2. Optionally type a Snapshot name so you can recognise it later.
3. Click Create Snapshot.
4. The snapshot appears in the list once it’s ready.
Restoring a snapshot
To roll back, find the snapshot in the list and choose the restore option. Your VPS disk returns to exactly the state it was in when the snapshot was taken – handy if an update breaks something or a configuration change goes wrong.

JetHost Experts Tip
Snapshots are a point-in-time image, not a substitute for regular backups. For automatic, ongoing protection, add the daily backups option to your plan alongside your manual snapshots.
