How to install FileZilla on Linux

Ubuntu / Debian-based systems
Open your terminal and run:
sudo apt install filezilla
Fedora / CentOS / RHEL-based systems
sudo dnf install filezilla
Install through your Software Center
If you prefer a graphical method:
1. Open your Software Center (Ubuntu Software, GNOME Software, etc.)
2. Search for FileZilla
3. Click Install
Installing FileZilla through the Software Center is convenient if you want a simple, one-click option without using the terminal.
Step 2 – Launch FileZilla
Once installed, you can open FileZilla in two ways:
From the application menu
Go to Applications → Internet → FileZilla
Or search for “FileZilla” in your app launcher
From the terminal

FileZilla will open and display the standard two-panel interface. The left panel shows your computer files, while the right panel will show your JetHost hosting files once you connect.
Step 3 – Connect to your JetHost hosting account
After FileZilla is installed, you are ready to connect to your JetHost hosting account.

FileZilla is included in most Linux distributions. Installing it through your package manager ensures you get updates automatically along with other system software. Avoid downloading external .tar files unless you need a custom build.
