# How to Manage VPS IPs, Reverse DNS (PTR) and Null-Routing

The Networking tab shows every IP address assigned to your VPS and lets you manage reverse DNS and null-routing. Setting reverse DNS is especially important if you plan to send email from your server.

## Viewing your IP addresses

Open your VPS in the Client Area and go to the **Networking** tab. You'll see your public **IPv4** and **IPv6** addresses, which one is the Main IP, and their reverse DNS and null-route status.

Click **Set rDNS** next to an IP and enter the hostname you want it to resolve to (for example, `mail.yourdomain.com`). Reverse DNS maps the IP back to a name and helps mail servers trust messages sent from your VPS.

## Null-routing

The **Null Route** action drops all traffic to an IP at the network edge. It's an emergency measure - for example, to stop an attack targeting a single address - and can be reversed when the situation clears.

If email from your VPS lands in spam, matching **reverse DNS** and forward DNS (your PTR host resolves back to the same IP) is one of the first fixes to check.
