The browser console gives you direct, keyboard-level access to your VPS straight from the Client Area using noVNC. It's the tool to reach for when SSH is misconfigured, the firewall is locking you out, or the server is in recovery mode.

## Step-by-step: Open the console

1. Open your VPS in the JetHost Client Area and go to the **Console** tab.
2. Click **Open Console**.
3. A browser-based VNC session opens and connects to your VPS.

Once connected, you'll see your server's login prompt. Enter your username (usually **root**) and password to sign in - exactly as you would on a physical monitor plugged into the machine.

## JetHost Experts Tip

Console sessions can expire after a while. If the screen freezes or disconnects, just click **Open Console** again to start a fresh session.
