You can control your VPS power state at any time from the JetHost Client Area - no command line required. This is the fastest way to reboot a server or bring it back up if you shut it down.

## Step-by-step: Power controls on JetHost

1. Log in to the JetHost Client Area and open your VPS under **Services -> My Products & Services**.
2. Open the **Power** tab.
3. Check the **Current status** (for example, RUNNING).
4. Click **Start**, **Stop** or **Reboot** depending on what you need.

- **Start** - powers on a stopped VPS
- **Stop** - powers the VPS off (needed before a password reset)
- **Reboot** - restarts the VPS, applying kernel updates and clearing stuck processes

## JetHost Experts Tip

A **reboot** is the safest first step for many issues - high memory use, a hung service or after certain updates. Use **Stop** only when you genuinely need the server powered off, since your sites and services will be offline until you start it again.
