How to Upgrade or Downgrade Your VPS Plan

As your project grows, you can add more power to your JetHost VPS. This guide explains how upgrades and downgrades work and how to request one.

Upgrading or adding resources

Upgrading – or simply adding more storage – is done by request to the JetHost team. Get in touch and we’ll increase your CPU, RAM or disk. Because your data stays in place, upgrades are quick and don’t require rebuilding your server.

Downgrading to a smaller plan

To move to fewer resources, we provision a smaller server for you, help you migrate your data across, then stop and delete the old VPS once you’ve confirmed everything works.

How to request a change

  • Open a ticket or contact JetHost support from the Client Area
  • Tell us your current VPS and the plan or resources you want
  • We’ll confirm the details, pricing and any short maintenance window

JetHost Experts Tip

Take a snapshot before any migration. It’s a free, quick safety net so you always have a known-good copy of your server while resources are being changed.
