How to Install and Manage WordPress with AI
With JetHost MCP connected, you can spin up a new WordPress site – or manage an existing one – just by telling your AI assistant what you want. It checks your WordPress hosting, suggests a setup, and handles the steps, asking before anything important. This guide shows how.
Before you start
Make sure your AI assistant is connected to JetHost MCP – see MCP setup – and that WP Manager is enabled for the hosting service you want to use.
Install a new WordPress site
Describe the site you want in plain language. The assistant checks your available services, proposes a configuration, and asks for confirmation before it builds anything.
Manage an existing site
For sites you already run, you can ask the assistant to check their status, request direct access to the WordPress dashboard, or hand off to the more specific guides for plugins and themes and backups and staging.
When it helps most
- Launching a project fast – describe the site and it’s installed, themed, and ready to build on.
- Spinning up client or test sites without repeating the same manual setup every time.
- Non-technical owners who just want a working WordPress without learning the installer, themes, and plugins first.
What you gain: you go from idea to a ready-to-build site in one conversation – instead of clicking through the installer, hunting for a theme, and searching for plugins separately.
JetHost Experts Tip
Start from the goal, not the steps. Say “I’m launching a small bookstore” and let the assistant suggest the theme, plugins and structure – you approve, it builds.
