Rebuilding a similar post or page from scratch wastes time. The **Post/Page Duplicator** in [JetHost Total Care](https://wordpress.org/plugins/jethost-total-care/) adds a one-click clone option, so you can copy an existing post or page and edit the copy. This guide shows how, on any [JetHost WordPress hosting](https://jethost.com/hosting-for-wordpress/) plan.

## Enable the duplicator

1. In your WordPress dashboard, open **JetHost Total Care → Admin Enhancements**.
2. Toggle on **Post/Page Duplicator**.

![Post/Page Duplicator option in JetHost Total Care](https://jethost.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/jtc-opt-duplicator.png)With it enabled, a **Duplicate** link appears when you hover over any post or page in the Posts and Pages lists. Click it to create an identical draft copy, then edit the copy without touching the original.

## What gets copied, and when to use it

The duplicate includes the content, title (marked as a copy), template, and page settings, all saved as a fresh draft – nothing goes live until you publish it. It’s ideal for repeatable layouts: landing pages that share a design, product pages with the same structure, or a template post you reuse often. It also saves you from copy-pasting block by block, which is slow and easy to get wrong on a long page. Build one page exactly how you like it, duplicate it, and keep a consistent design every time.

## Why duplicate a post or page?

WordPress has no built-in way to copy a post or page, so without a tool you’d have to recreate the layout by hand or copy blocks across manually – slow and easy to get wrong. Duplicating solves this by giving you an exact starting point. It’s most useful when you publish content with a repeating structure: landing pages that share a design, service or product pages built from the same template, or a standard post format you reuse often.

## A faster, tidier workflow

Beyond saving time, duplicating keeps your site consistent – every page built from the same master shares the same structure, which looks more professional and is easier to maintain. Because each copy is created as a draft, nothing goes live by accident. One good habit: once you’ve finished with a duplicated draft you don’t need, delete it, and clear out old auto-drafts now and then with [Database Optimization](https://jethost.com/kb/optimize-database-with-jethost-total-care/) so leftover drafts don’t pile up in your database over time.

## JetHost Experts Tip

Building several pages with the same layout? Create one master page exactly how you like it, then duplicate it for each new page to keep a consistent design and save setup time.
